Ratoo is one of only two round towers in Ireland (to the best of my knowledge) it has a regular stream of visitors throughout spring,summer and autumn but is left all alone for the months of winter and personnally I think this is when she is at her best. Sun positioning and height creates great contrast and shadow. This image is helped by the on coming deluge,which arrived around 3 minutes after the image was taken and left me drowned wet but happy.
